Our Story

Welcome! A bit about me — I have always had a deep passion for the relationship between plants, people and the spaces we inhabit. For years, I held this belief that nature has the power to support not only our wellbeing, but also the way we live, gather and care for ourselves every day.  And while I carried that belief, it was a pivotal personal experience that ultimately led me down the path of herbalism and plant-based wellness.

A Turning Point

After building a successful corporate career, my life shifted when I became pregnant. I could no longer use my retinol skincare products and began exploring plant-based alternatives. What began as curiosity about botanical skincare quickly evolved into a deeper study of plant medicine and the role herbs and plants can play in supporting our overall well-being.

I began my plant medicine journey through Cornell's Plant Medicine certification program, which led me to the Herbal Academy, where I continued my studies.   My path then evolved into a hand-on clinical apprenticeship program with a local apothecary, which provided deeper practical knowledge and experience.

During this time, I found myself revisiting how using jojoba oil during my pregnancy was such a game changer for me, that I took a deeper dive into natural skincare, and completed several certification programs at The School of Natural Skincare.

Around that same time, a company-wide layoff prompted me to rethink my professional path. Instead of focusing on returning to the corporate world, I chose to integrate my background in leadership with my growing studies in herbalism and plant-based living.

That decision led to the creation of Casa + Jardin. First as a blog - then as a lifestyle business.

Our Mission

Through Casa + Jardin, I share a belief that we are deeply connected to the natural world and that plants are powerful allies in supporting our mental, physical and spiritual well-being. My work centers on creating thoughtfully formulated botanical products and sharing herbal education with the goal of helping people reconnect with plants on their own holistic journey.
